The Child and Education Department is responsible for preschool care, primary school, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, student housing with boarding, adult education, and arts school in Dals-Ed. Snörrumsskolan is a primary school for grades F–3. The school offers preschool class up to grade 3, as well as adapted primary education. We have four after-school care departments with approximately 145 enrolled children. We work according to "Backa Barnet," a working model that puts the child's best interests at the forefront, regardless of the activity or decision.
DUTIES:
As a teacher in the after-school care center (fritidshem), you are part of a work team and are responsible for the team's joint work within the framework of the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum LGR 22 and the Education Act. You will plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate teaching and learning. Teaching in both the after-school care center and school is largely based on students' participation, influence, and responsibility. The position involves a shared role as a teacher in the after-school care center (grades F–3) and as a student assistant in primary school. As a student assistant, you provide support at both the individual and group levels. You collaborate closely with teaching teachers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You are a qualified teacher in the after-school care center. Merit points are given if you have experience and knowledge of the after-school care center and find it important to work with clear goals to develop the operations based on current guidelines. As a student assistant, you should support, encourage, and motivate students throughout the day, both in schoolwork and in daily situations and social interactions. As a student assistant, you are responsible for supporting students in their daily schoolwork, helping students to activate themselves during breaks, and preparing and supporting students during transfers and schedule-breaking activities.
As a person, you are interested in working with other people and have a good ability to communicate constructively with students, colleagues, and guardians. You have a positive attitude and see the strengths and opportunities in all students. You view collaboration with your colleagues regarding planning and development of the operations as a key part of your professional life, while also being able to drive your own work forward. You have a structured approach to work and are skilled at inspiring and motivating students. We are looking for someone who is engaged and, together with colleagues, can create a good learning environment for our students. You are a team player with great commitment who sees the big picture in the school, with room for everyone to develop.
