Björkåsskolan is located in Järnbrott, Västra Frölunda. Approximately 300 students attend the school, from preschool class to grade 6.

Job Responsibilities

Do you enjoy working together? As a teacher at our school, you will be part of a work team where you, together with your teaching colleague, work in a "two-teacher system". Together, you are responsible for teaching two classes, comprising a total of approximately 40–45 students. Depending on your competence and qualifications, we tailor the role to suit you.

Qualifications

Formal Competencies:

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach in grades 1-3.

We welcome both experienced teachers and newly graduated teachers to apply for the position. To ensure that newly graduated teachers get the best possible start in their profession, you will participate in the School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly graduated teachers. This introduction provides you with a network of other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Personal Competencies:

You are structured but vary your teaching and adapt it to the different needs of the student group to promote learning, motivation, and development. Therefore, we are looking for you who have good pedagogical competence and are well familiar with the steering documents of the primary school.

We value a strong commitment to teaching and school development. You are a team player who collaborates well with others, communicates clearly, and contributes to collegial learning. Together, we work to create the best conditions for our students' knowledge development and well-being.

You have a good ability to plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the goals of the curriculum. You work both independently and together with the work team, and see student influence and flexibility as natural parts of teaching.

As a leader in the classroom, you are secure, clear, and structured, while also using creativity to awaken curiosity and a desire to learn.
