Description

Bräckegymnasiet provides education for students who wish to work in the construction sector and is today Sweden's largest construction vocational school. We offer the national Construction and Infrastructure Programme with twelve different specializations. Students who have chosen the specialization towards Construction Engineering can apply directly to a technical university after their vocational graduation or enter the workforce with an apprenticeship book. For students who are not eligible for a national programme, we offer education within the Introduction Programme. All our education is conducted in close collaboration with the industry.

Our overarching goal as employees is that our students succeed in their studies and obtain a vocational degree, which naturally places demands on us. Our school has approximately 390 students, over 35 teachers, and a total of around 50 employees.

We are located on Lindholmen in bright, modern facilities with easy access to everything. The area also includes a library.

Job Responsibilities

Are you our new teacher in Swedish, Social Studies, and Physical Education & Health? We are looking for a driven educator for Bräckegymnasiet who is passionate about meeting young people on their path to a vocational degree. Here, you will become a key figure in a team that works without hierarchy to ensure every student reaches their full potential. You are a confident leader who motivates, finds creative solutions, and has the ability to see the unique needs of each individual.

About the position. You will teach Social Studies, Swedish, and Physical Education & Health at the upper secondary level. You will interact with students on the Construction and Infrastructure Programme. You will be part of a work team where you jointly develop teaching to ensure our students meet the goals. Mentoring is included in the position.

Who are you? You are structured, clear, and thrive in being a present adult throughout the student's entire school day. A prerequisite for thriving is also that you participate actively and wish to contribute to your work team, and appreciate good cooperation with your colleagues, students, and other staff at the upper secondary school. Together with your work team, you plan and develop teaching so that our students are given the opportunity to become good citizens and craftsmen. We coach each other and value your ability to contribute to a positive and solution-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher in Swedish, Social Studies, and Physical Education & Health at the upper secondary level. You have experience working with upper secondary students.

You must have a desire to work with students who face school challenges and to work with the student's entire school day. You possess good pedagogical digital competence, i.e., you use digital tools for planning, teaching, and feedback.

You have an interest and experience in teamwork with joint work around student groups and thrive when collaborating with colleagues. You are interested in school development and wish to develop high quality in teaching and assessment.

As a person, you have the ability to inspire and engage within your subjects, and you have an easy time communicating your message. You are structured, goal-oriented, and open to trying new working methods and approaches. We look forward to receiving your application!
