The Adult Education Department in Mariestad is now looking for an engaged and inspiring teacher who wants to contribute to our students reaching their goals and developing further in working life and studies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a certified teacher with main subject competence in Social Studies at the upper secondary level. You also have eligibility in an additional subject, such as History, Religion, or Swedish. The position may also include initiatives to promote step-by-step transitions for adult individuals, for example through collaboration with the municipality's labor market unit and the Swedish Public Employment Service.

As a teacher with us, you plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the adult education department's governing documents and the students' individual prerequisites. You work both independently and together with colleagues to create high-quality teaching that promotes learning, participation, and goal achievement.

The position is a permanent employment (holiday service).
Location: Adult Education Department in Mariestad.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• is a certified teacher eligible to teach Social Studies at the upper secondary level,
• has additional subject eligibility in History, Religion, or Swedish,
• has previous teaching experience,
• has good skills in planning, organizing, and adapting teaching to students' needs,
• has good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience of working within adult education,
• experience of flexible teaching methods and digital learning environments.
