Description

Åsaka School is located a couple of miles outside the city center of Trollhättan and currently has approximately 140 students in grades F-6 (Preschool to Year 6). The school has a well-functioning student health team but is missing a school counselor. There is good cooperation between the school's educators and the student health team, and we look forward to expanding the team!

Job Responsibilities

As a school counselor, you are part of the school's student health team and contribute psychosocial competence at the organizational, group, and individual levels. Within the student health service, you collaborate with the school nurse, special education teacher, school psychologist, and principal. The team's mission is to work proactively and preventively to strengthen the students' opportunities to achieve their goals, together with the principal and the work team.

Qualifications

You who apply for the position have a degree as a social worker or social pedagogue, or other equivalent education assessed as equivalent by the employer. You are good at building relationships and are professional and respectful in your interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues. You should have an interest in working in a pedagogical environment and in teams with different professions.

Employment Information

The main position is 25% with placement at Åsaka School. As an employee of Trollhättan Municipality, you are entitled to full-time employment. Therefore, the main position can be combined with other tasks if you wish to work full-time.

According to the Education Act, extracts from the police criminal record must be presented by individuals before they are employed in preschool activities, schools, and school-age childcare.
