About the role

ECIT delivers products and services within finance, payroll, HR, IT, and business solutions with operations throughout Sweden. We are now looking for a curious and service-oriented accounting consultant for our office in Gothenburg. Here you will have a central role in supporting our customers in their daily financial matters, with a focus on advisory services, follow-up, and quality in accounting.

In this role, you work closely with our customers, who have outsourced their financial management to us. These are often entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized companies, where you become an important partner and sounding board for both small and large issues. You build long-term relationships, provide advice, and help customers understand their finances and develop their businesses.

A large part of the work involves following up, analyzing, and quality-assuring accounting, as well as producing materials and reports that create value for the customer. You are supported by a team that handles parts of the ongoing work, giving you the opportunity to focus more on customer dialogue, analysis, and advisory services.

In addition, you will work with ongoing accounting, prepare declarations, participate in simpler year-end closing tasks, and have your own responsibility for smaller customer assignments, with ongoing dialogue with your customers.

In this role, you will gradually develop by independently handling your own customers, deepening your competence, and taking on greater responsibility over time. In the long term, you will have the opportunity to work more advisory and take on more complex assignments.

You are based at our office in Gothenburg, with the possibility of visiting customers to create a deeper understanding of their business.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Post-secondary education in economics (University College or University)
• At least 1–3 years of work experience in accounting
• Experience with: Income tax returns, Employer declarations, and VAT returns
• Knowledge of the K2 accounting standards
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Experience with year-end closing for small and medium-sized companies is a merit.

You are a service-oriented and communicative person who enjoys customer contact and has an easy time building relationships. You have a good basic understanding of accounting and work in a structured, careful, and quality-conscious manner.

You are accustomed to working in business and accounting systems, handle multiple assignments in parallel, and feel confident in prioritizing your work.

As a person, you are responsible, solution-oriented, and independent in your tasks, while also being unpretentious and willing to ask for support when needed. You have a strong drive to develop and want to gradually take on greater responsibility in your role.
