About the roleAs Legal & Compliance Manager, you will have a central role in the organization, working closely with the CEO, CFO, and the rest of the business. You are responsible for ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all markets, while enabling fast and scalable growth.
The role is both strategic and operational, meaning you own and develop the company's legal framework, contracts, and compliance processes. You act as a business-oriented legal partner who contributes to balancing risk, regulations, and commercial execution.
Your main areas of responsibility:
- Ensure regulatory compliance in all relevant markets
- Be responsible for GDPR, data protection, and the role of Data Protection Officer (DPO)
- Manage and develop commercial contracts, customer agreements, and partner agreements
- Build and optimize scalable contract and compliance frameworks
- Support the organization with legal issues related to expansion and new markets
- Work on regulatory issues within fintech and any licensing requirements
- Conduct legal and compliance-related risk assessments for new markets
- Be responsible for marketing and consumer law issues in multiple countries
- Collaborate with external legal advisors and specialists
- Support M&A processes and corporate structure matters
- Ensure that internal processes and agreements comply with current legislation and business needs
- A Master's degree in Law (Juris Cand.) or equivalent
- 4 - 9+ years in commercial legal/compliance roles
- Extensive experience with contracts, GDPR, and regulations
- Experience from SaaS, tech, fintech, or international environments
- Experience as a DPO or in data protection responsibilities is a plus
- Fluent in Swedish and English
