RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to make a difference every day through food, knowledge, and collaboration?

We are now looking for an engaged and driven Meal Developer who wants to help develop future meals within elderly care.

We are looking for you who are passionate about the importance of food for health, well-being, and quality of life. Here, you will have a key role in developing the meal experience for the elderly by creating strong collaborations between meal services and elderly care.

As a Meal Developer within elderly care, you work together with our chefs and care staff to ensure and provide the conditions for the entire meal chain to function.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Contribute to realizing the intentions of the new Social Services Act by developing meals and meal environments that strengthen health, participation, independence, and social community.
• Strengthen collaboration between meal services and elderly care.
• Plan and conduct training in nutrition, food hygiene, and consistency-adapted meals.
• Support operations in matters concerning food, meals, and nutrition.
• Contribute to meal joy and a person-centered approach becoming a natural part of the meal situation.
• Work with quality development, improvement work, and follow-up in the area.
• Be a support in the work to prevent malnutrition and promote good nutritional status among the elderly.
• Develop elderly care restaurants to increase attractiveness and strengthen the restaurants' role as meeting places for seniors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a strong commitment to the health and well-being of older people. You are a person who creates trust, builds relationships, and gets people to collaborate towards common goals.

You have the ability to inspire and educate others and feel comfortable leading groups and driving development work.

We believe you have:

• Relevant university education in areas such as nutrition, dietetics, or another area that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience working in meal services, elderly care, or related operations.
• Knowledge of nutrition for the elderly, special diets, and consistency-adapted meals.
• Good pedagogical skills and experience in training or mentoring.
• Ability to work independently and drive development processes.
• It is meritorious if you have experience in quality work, change management, or collaboration assignments.
