Your assignment

Active Åmål is an ESF-funded project aimed at supporting individuals who are far from the labor market, often with complex needs such as long-term unemployment, poor health, or low educational levels.

The project is based on:

• Interprofessional collaboration between the municipality, healthcare, and authorities
• Individualized interventions and gradual development towards work or studies
• Low-threshold activities and new employment opportunities
• A clear and coordinated entry point for participants

The goal is to reach approximately 300 participants, with at least half taking steps towards work, studies, or other work-oriented activities.

As the project manager, you have overall responsibility for planning, leading, and developing the project from start to finish.

You will:

• Lead the project's implementation, follow-up, and results
• Coordinate an interprofessional team with competencies in the labor market, social support, rehabilitation, and education
• Ensure collaboration with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, healthcare, and other actors
• Drive the development of new working methods and structures that can be implemented in regular operations
• Responsible for reporting, economy, and goal achievement according to ESF requirements

You are a key person in creating a more cohesive support system for individuals who today risk long-term exclusion.

Formal competence requirements

• Experience in project management with responsibility for both implementation and results
• Documented experience of collaboration between multiple actors
• Good ability to plan, follow up, and achieve results
• Experience working with labor market initiatives, rehabilitation, and social work in municipal operations
• University degree
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Digital identification with BankID

Merits

Employment

The position is subject to necessary decisions being made. Fixed-term employment through a project appointment at 100% during the period 2026-09-01 to 2029-06-30. The employment may begin with a probationary period.

The Project Manager is currently placed within the Work and Adult Learning unit in the Welfare and Labor Market Administration, which is organized directly under the Welfare and Labor Market Committee. The direct manager is the Unit Manager.
