The Swedish National Agency for Cultural Heritage (Statens musikverk) is a cultural heritage authority under the Ministry of Culture. Through our operations, we collect, preserve, and tell the story of the cultural heritage of music, theatre, and dance. The Agency includes the Museum of Performing Arts, the Music and Theatre Library, the Swedish Song Archive, Caprice Music, and the Electronic Music Studio (EMS). In addition, there are two support units that assist the operations: the administrative unit and the communications unit.

We are now looking for a temporary financial administrator for our finance unit

The finance unit consists of two employees and belongs to the authority's administrative support. In this role, you will work closely with both the authority's financial manager and the various operations. The administrative support unit includes, in addition to the finance unit, several support functions and consists of ten employees in total. Here, you will work in a small and dedicated finance function with close collaboration and short decision-making paths. You will have a varied role with broad contact areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a financial administrator, you play an important role in the authority's financial work. You contribute to ensuring correct and efficient financial administration and provide support to managers and employees on financial matters.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Handling the authority's ongoing bookkeeping, including incoming and outgoing payments.
  • Work with customer and supplier accounts, such as invoice handling, payments, and follow-ups.
  • Reconciliation and control of payroll data and payroll-related transactions.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and other economic declarations.
  • Conducting economic reconciliations of, for example, bank accounts and VAT.
  • Providing support and service to managers and employees on financial matters.
  • Answering questions from internal and external contacts regarding invoices, payments, and financial administration.
  • Participating in the preparation of financial data, reports, and follow-ups.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on economics, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience.
  • Experience with ongoing bookkeeping work, including handling incoming and outgoing payments.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Agresso.
  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience with government accounting.
  • Experience with supplier invoices and administration in Visma Proceedo.
  • Experience with customer invoicing in the system Blå Boken or a similar system.
  • Experience working with payroll data related to payroll in Primula.

To thrive in the role, you are meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work. You are service-oriented and have an easy time building good relationships. Since the role involves many contact areas, you have good communication skills and can explain financial matters to different target groups in a pedagogical manner.

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

EMPLOYMENT

Temporary position until February 28, 2027, with a possibility of extension. Start date September 15 or as agreed. Full-time (100%). The work takes place on-site at the office on Sibyllegatan 2, with some possibility of remote work.
