Do you have an interest in and experience with agency governance and budget issues, and do you want to contribute to the development and implementation of the government's policy on circular economy, environmental research, or radiation safety? We are now looking for a case officer for work on agency governance, right in the center of the action.

The Unit for Circular Economy, Chemicals and Radiation is responsible for issues regarding circular economy, chemicals and waste, as well as radiation safety and environmental research. The unit is divided into two groups and consists of approximately 25 employees. Agency governance is one of the Government Offices' most important tasks. The unit is responsible for, among other things, the governance of the Swedish Chemicals Agency, the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority, and FORMAS. We are looking for you who have a broad interest in the unit's substantive issues within circular economy, environmental research, and radiation safety. You will have the opportunity to develop within governance and budget issues, such as fees and appropriations. The work also includes tasks related to legislative work.
You will have many internal and external contacts within the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise, within the Government Offices, and with various agencies. As a case officer, you will primarily work with agency governance, the state budget, and fees. Other issues within the unit's area of responsibility may also become relevant. The work involves preparing government cases and producing background material for the political leadership. It may also involve preparing instructions for Sweden's line of action, and as needed, participating in meetings and representing Sweden in national, EU, and international contexts. Travel may occur.

Your background
To be considered for this role, you must meet all mandatory requirements and preferably also the merit-based criteria.
Requirements:
- Relevant academic degree.
- Relevant professional experience from an agency or another politically directed organization.
- Good skills in oral and written presentation, both in Swedish and English.
Merits:
- Knowledge of budget work in the Government Offices.
- Current experience of budget work, for example fees.
- Work experience at the Government Offices.
- Current experience of work related to appropriations within the unit's areas of responsibility.
- Experience of legislative work.
- Knowledge of agency governance.
- Knowledge of economic steering instruments.
- Knowledge within the climate and environment sector, energy, or radiation safety.

The advertisement concerns one or two positions. The employment begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible.
