Description

You will be part of our SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) and SVA (Swedish as a Second Language) team at Campus Gislaved. Our operations run continuously throughout the year and are characterized by great variation in students' backgrounds, goals, and study prerequisites. We place great emphasis on meeting each student based on individual needs and creating good conditions for language development and establishment in society and working life.
Teaching within combined programs as well as language support teaching for employees out at companies may be included in the assignment. Therefore, it is important that you are flexible, independent, and thrive in an evolving operation where teaching can take place in different contexts and forms.
Job Responsibilities
Your main task is to teach Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) at the basic level. The assignment includes planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching based on the curriculum and grading criteria, as well as work with assessment and documentation.
Teaching may also take place within combined programs and in collaboration with employers, where language is linked to vocational contexts.
As part of a work team, you actively contribute to the development of the operations and to good cooperation among colleagues. The assignment entails significant professional responsibility and active participation in pedagogical development work.
Qualifications
You have a teacher's degree with a license and eligibility to teach Swedish for Immigrants (SFI). Eligibility in Swedish as a Second Language at the basic or upper secondary level is meritorious, as is eligibility in an additional subject.
Experience of teaching within SFI is desirable. It is also meritorious if you have experience of:
