Your new job

You will work as a special needs teacher in Swedish or English at Sandagymnasiet. In your role as a special needs teacher, you will meet students who, according to Chapter 3, Section 7 of the Education Act, are entitled to support, students who do not yet have a passing grade from primary school, and students who have failed in the first levels of upper secondary school in Swedish or English. The role includes mentoring, where you provide support and guidance to your students. Together with your dedicated colleagues, you will continuously work to develop and improve teaching for all students. This is done at both the individual and group levels.

Sandagymnasiet in Huskvarna consists of two different school forms: Sandagymnasiet and Sanda Adapted Upper Secondary School. Sanda Sports Centre is part of the operations, where sports education is conducted during school hours as part of the upper secondary education. Approximately 1,400 students attend Sandagymnasiet, and we have around 200 employees.

Your qualifications

We are now looking for you who are a certified special needs teacher for upper secondary school in Swedish or English combined with another subject, and who have work experience teaching these subjects at the upper secondary level. You have strong subject knowledge and are pedagogically skilled. As a teacher, you are a clear leader and value creating good and trusting relationships with students. You have good IT skills and can naturally use digital tools in your teaching.

From March 1, 2026, extended register checks were introduced for persons who are to work with children. This means you will need to submit an additional extract prior to employment. Selection and interviews will primarily take place in week 22.

Before employing new staff in our teaching positions, we must ensure that a valid teaching certificate exists. Therefore, we ask you to attach a current teaching certificate obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education within the last 2 months.
