Höglandsförbundet is a municipal association formed by the municipalities of Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities, located in the Småland highlands, value collaboration and know that we become stronger together. By combining our strengths and resources, we can increase competence, utilize resources more efficiently, raise quality, and provide better services to residents. We currently host a number of different operations working for the benefit of the entire High Region.

Within Höglandsförbundet, there is also the Högland Education Collaboration, which today consists of Höglandsgymnasiet with schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we have approximately 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3,000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for the future in working life or in further studies. In the summer of 2026, Högland's adult education will also join, located in Sävsjö, Eksjö, and Nässjö.

Your new job

With us, you will be a teaching teacher of mathematics and physics in our natural science program. You are responsible for planning and conducting teaching according to the current curriculum and continuously evaluating your own teaching. You work together with engaged colleagues to drive and develop our natural science program. You participate in the subject team to further develop subject-specific teaching.

About you

We are looking for you who have completed a teacher education with the qualification to teach mathematics and physics at the upper secondary level. Previous experience of teaching, preferably within upper secondary school, is meritorious, as is experience in leading young people with the aim of teaching them something.

As a person, you have good pedagogical insight and the ability to motivate and inspire learning. You take responsibility for your own work and work systematically to move forward in your own planning and teaching. You see the importance of building good relationships with students to motivate learning. You are a natural leader in the classroom and have a good ability to collaborate with others. As a person, you contribute to a positive and developed work climate together with your colleagues.

About our school

Brinellgymnasiet is located in Nässjö and is one of five schools within Höglandsgymnasiet. Together we improve competence, raise quality, and give upper secondary students even better conditions for success.

At Brinellgymnasiet, we have approximately 200 employees and approximately 1,100 students. We offer 14 national programs and have a national sports high school in bowling, national sports education programs in bandy and basketball, as well as local sports education programs in basketball, football, and ice hockey.

Our keywords are respect, responsibility, knowledge, and well-being. We strive for structure in teaching, quiet working conditions during lessons, and that our students feel safe and happy with us. The school has a newly renovated modern library that is an important part of the pedagogical operations.

Good to know

The position is full-time with a start date at the beginning of the school year 2026/2027 or according to agreement.

To ensure that all new employees in our teaching positions have the correct qualifications, we ask you to attach a valid teacher license obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education that is not older than two months.

As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement, in accordance with the Education Act, that you present an extract from the criminal record register for work within schools. You request this extract on the police website.

If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove your citizenship. You do this by showing a valid passport or a certificate of personal registration together with a valid ID document. The certificate of personal registration is ordered from the Tax Agency via "My Pages". If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden. Employment can only take place after the work permit has been checked, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
