Join our team as a Science Teacher for Years 7–9 at IES Jönköping!

Are you a passionate educator who wants to inspire the next generation of scientists? We are looking for a Science Teacher for our Middle and Senior school. At IES Jönköping, we provide a structured and stimulating environment where curiosity is encouraged. You will work in well-equipped labs alongside a supportive subject team to deliver high-quality science education.

This is a 6-month substitute position (parental leave cover) with a workload of 100%, starting in August 2026.

About the Role

We are an international school with 850 students from preschool class to Year 9. Our staff includes 130 employees from all over the world. As a Science Teacher, you will be a key player in our team during this period. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, collaborating with your subject department, and mentoring a group of approximately 15 students. You will play a vital part in maintaining our calm and productive environment where every student can succeed.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and competent teacher who is a positive and reliable team player. Key qualifications include:

• Qualified Teacher Status (Lärarlegitimation) in Science for Years 7–9 (or currently finishing your degree).
• Fluency in English (as Science is taught in English at IES).
• Professionalism, responsibility, and a positive mindset.
• The ability to jump straight in and become a part of a collaborative team.
