Description

As a teacher of Physical Education (PE) and Art at Sörgärdet School (Grades F-6), you will have the opportunity to shape and develop our students' creativity in art creation and support their development in the subject of PE and Health. Our large sports hall and spacious schoolyard offer many options for different lesson structures in PE.

The position is part-time, approximately 75%, and is fixed-term for spring semester 2026 and autumn semester 2027.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and conducting teaching in PE and Art with the goal of stimulating each student's development.
• Planning and conducting art lessons and developing students' creativity in Art.
• Creating a positive and safe learning environment where all students feel seen and respected.
• Building relationships with students and promoting their individual strengths.
• Contributing to an active and healthy lifestyle through sports and creative activities.

Job Duties

As a teacher of PE and Art in Älvkarleby Municipality, you play a central role in our students' development and learning. You are responsible for planning and conducting teaching that inspires, motivates, and engages students in both PE and Art.

Your duties include:

• Planning and conducting lessons in PE and Art, adapted to students' needs and prerequisites.
• Assessing students' knowledge in both subjects.
• Creating a safe and inspiring learning environment where all students feel seen and heard.
• Collaborating with colleagues and guardians to support students' learning and well-being.
• Actively participating in the school's joint development work and contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.

Qualifications

• We prefer that you have relevant education in PE and Art, as well as teacher certification for teaching at the primary level.
• You are independent and have the ability to structure your teaching clearly and engagingly.
• Ability to create a safe and permissive climate and maintain positive and inclusive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
