About Ängby School
Ängby School is a grades F-6 school with approximately 350 students, located in the beautiful nature of Knivsta, right next to the Uppland Highway. Our unique proximity to forests and nature offers fantastic opportunities for outdoor pedagogy and movement in everyday life, which we see as an important part of the students' learning and well-being.

We are looking for a special needs teacher in Swedish with teaching in grades 3-6, as well as teaching in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) in grades F-6. We are now looking for an engaged special needs teacher who wants to take responsibility together with colleagues and school management.
Job Responsibilities
As a special needs teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language, you have a central role in supporting students' language, reading, and writing development. The assignment involves working both directly with students and indirectly by strengthening teaching and teachers' competence. The focus is on removing barriers to learning and creating conditions for all students to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.
Teaching and Student Support
- Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language (SVA), both individually and in groups.
- Identify students' needs for special support within language, reading, and writing development.
- Be responsible for and conduct pedagogical mapping and analyses as a basis for interventions.
- Draw up, follow up, and evaluate action plans together with responsible teachers and the student health team.
- Document student cases according to current regulatory documents.
Supervisory Function
- Support and supervise teachers in language-developing work as well as in adaptations and special support.
- Contribute special pedagogical competence to the planning and follow-up of work teams.
Student Health and Collaboration
- Be an active part of the school's student health team (SHT).
- Participate in student health meetings and contribute a special needs teacher perspective to student cases.
- Collaborate with other professions within student health.
Contact with Guardians
- Maintain continuous and close contact with guardians regarding students' development and support measures.
- Participate in development conferences and other meetings where the student's needs are discussed.
- Inform and create participation among guardians in the work regarding the student's learning.
Collaboration
- Work in close collaboration with teachers, mentors, and other school staff.
- Contribute to a holistic view of students' learning and development.
- Collaborate with external actors when necessary.
Qualifications
You have a teaching license with eligibility as a special needs teacher to teach Swedish and SVA for grades F-6.
Competencies and Personal Qualities
- Good ability to work in a structured and analytical manner.
- Strong communication skills and good ability to build relationships with students and colleagues.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Solution-focused with an inclusive and student-centered approach.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-09-14.
