About Högåsskolan

Högåsskolan is a school for grades F-6 with approximately 480 students and 70 employees in the nature-rich area of Knivsta, right next to the Gredelby Hagars nature reserve. Our proximity to nature, combined with our central location and short distance to commuter trains for quick access to Uppsala or Stockholm, offers fantastic opportunities for varied teaching methods, which we see as an important part of the students' learning.

We have a maximum of 24 students per class, with 3 classes in each grade. The school is centrally located in Knivsta and was inaugurated in 2015, so the premises are modern and bright.

We are now looking for a new special educator for our fantastic special education team. Here await 3 special teachers and 1 special educator, ready to welcome their new colleague. Are you the one we are looking for?

Here, we distinguish between the roles of special teacher and special educator. Our special educators work on designing and evaluating action plans for our students and supervising staff, while our special teachers work on providing special instruction to our students.

Job Responsibilities

As a special educator at Högåsskolan, you work partly as part of our special education team, which consists of one additional special educator and 3 special teachers, partly as part of a work group with teachers, leisure center leaders, and resources, and partly as part of the school's EHT (Early Intervention/Support) team. As part of these teams, it is important that you are skilled at communicating, both internally at the school and with guardians.

At Högåsskolan, our special educators work on supervising staff and managing action plans and pedagogical investigations, while our special teachers primarily work directly with students. We are now looking for a special educator with a focus on grades 3-6.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a special educator, and it is meritorious if you have a few years of experience. We would like you to have previous experience working with Legilexi, Magma, and Lexplore, as well as being accustomed to conducting pedagogical investigations and designing and following up on action plans.

You are structured and solution-oriented, work according to a clear process, plan your work well, complete what is started, and find solutions to emerging problems. You are good at building and maintaining relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Employment Conditions

• Position: 100% starting 2026-08-11 or by agreement.
• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment Type: Permanent position.
