The school started in 2001, and in 2020, we moved into brand new, state-of-the-art facilities a stone's throw from the railway and bus station. To ensure every student reaches as far as possible, we need professional teachers with a great commitment to the student. At Kunskapsskolan, we always put the individual at the center, and we are therefore looking for you who always work actively to ensure your students succeed.

In addition to being a subject teacher, you are also a personal mentor to about twenty students, and we allocate time in the schedule for you as a teacher to have mentoring meetings every week with all your students. The conversations give you as a teacher a unique opportunity to catch up with your students and give each one the support they need to do well and succeed in reaching their goals.

Just as it is fantastic and fun to be a teacher, it can also be tough and challenging. It is then nice not to be alone. At Kunskapsskolan, we have a pronounced teamwork spirit where we share both setbacks and successes. You are never alone with challenges and issues, neither in subject teaching nor with individual students or groups. We help each other plan the work in working groups and subject teams. In mathematics, Swedish, and English, we combine digital learning materials with analog books. We have a digital portal, Kunskapsporten, where there are suggestions for working methods, tasks, and useful links for each subject. All students here have access to their own Chromebook.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher in mathematics but who will also teach part of Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language (SvA), or English for grades 7-9. You should have the ability to enthuse and inspire students to want to learn. You should be well acquainted with the curriculum LGR-22 and formative assessment.

Desirable Qualifications

We would like you to have a few years of experience in teaching and mentoring or coaching. Above all, we want you to be good at collaborating with colleagues, students, and guardians, and to be solution-focused.

Job Description

The position is a fixed-term contract at 100%, provided that you can also teach Swedish or English, but may potentially become a permanent position by next school year.
