Description of Duties

As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on the current curriculum. You actively work with assessment and documentation of students' knowledge development and adapt teaching to each student's needs and prerequisites.

The role includes being a clear and secure leader in the classroom, creating structure and study quiet, and building good relationships with students. You collaborate with colleagues and student health services to promote students' learning and well-being. An important part of the assignment is also to have a close and professional dialogue with guardians.

We expect you to be well-versed in the curriculum and regulatory documents, have good ability to analyze and develop teaching, and work inclusively so that every student is given the best possible conditions to succeed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a valid teaching license, which is a requirement for the position. The license ensures that you have the pedagogical competence and subject knowledge required to plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in accordance with current regulatory documents.

You are goal- and result-oriented and work clearly towards set goals with a focus on achieving concrete results. You plan, prioritize, and adapt your working methods when conditions change. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and work smoothly with others by listening, communicating clearly, and contributing to constructive solutions. You also show leadership by motivating and engaging others, creating participation, and driving the work forward towards common goals.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve being placed on the war establishment (krigsplacering).

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: By agreement. Substitute position for 1 year.
