Do you want to work as an HR Generalist at the Swedish Armed Forces? We contribute to Sweden's security and our mission is growing.
We are now looking for a temporary HR Generalist who wants to support the Swedish Armed Forces' managers and HR departments with us at the friendly Employer Support Detail.
About the Detail
The Employer Support Detail belongs to the Headquarters and we are located in the beautiful nature of Gärdet, surrounded by greenery and pleasant walking and training opportunities. One of the Swedish Armed Forces' benefits is that we have the opportunity to exercise for three hours a week during working hours. The Detail handles everything from advice on contract and terms issues to pension and workforce planning committees.
Main Responsibilities
In the role of HR Generalist, you support the Swedish Armed Forces' employer representatives in a consultative and pedagogical manner. The role, which is a temporary position, will primarily focus on our preparatory work for the central workforce planning committee. The work involves everything from interpreting and applying regulations and preparatory work to administrative tasks such as writing decisions and developing digital collaboration areas. The work takes place in close cooperation with colleagues at the Detail and involves many contact surfaces within the agency.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Academic degree in the HR field, or other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent
- Current work experience in broad HR work, at least 1 year
- Very good ability to express yourself in a pedagogical manner both orally and in writing in Swedish
Personal Attributes
To succeed in the role, we see that you have good cooperation skills and create trust. It is also important that you represent established guidelines, processes and current legislation. You have a desire to simplify the daily life of managers and local HR representatives through a solution-oriented approach.
You are receptive and meticulous and you like order and routine. You can work independently and structured and you have good communication skills.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Merits
- Experience of working in a complex organization/agency, preferably the Swedish Armed Forces
- Knowledge of the SAP system or another system that the employer considers equivalent
- Current experience from working in a consultative role
- Military experience as GSS, RO or YO
- Experience of document management systems

The Chief of Defence and the Director General are located at the Headquarters. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. From 2023-01-01, the Headquarters consists of the Defence Staff, the Operations Command, the Military Intelligence and Security Service, as well as the Headquarters Staff Department and independent oversight units.
