Workplace Description
The HR Section at Lund University has a collective responsibility for developing, coordinating, and supporting the university's HR processes. Within the section, strategic and operationally relevant work is conducted to ensure long-term competence supply, a good working environment, and professional support for managers and employees.
The role of Competence Developer is located within the Department of Competence & Sustainable Work Life, in the Competence Development group. Here, we work in an environment characterized by collaboration, learning, and development, in close cooperation with colleagues within the section, internal teachers, training participants, and other relevant functions in the organization.
The role is central to developing and coordinating internal training initiatives that contribute to Lund University's long-term development. You will become part of a competent and engaged team where we jointly drive development, challenge ways of working, and create value through collaboration.

Tasks and Responsibilities
We offer a developmental role in a complex and knowledge-intensive organization where learning and competence development are strategically prioritized.

- operate in an organization with high ambitions, where collaboration and knowledge exchange are central
- have the opportunity to influence and further develop ways of working, processes, and digital learning methods
You work both strategically and operationally with internal training and competence development at Lund University.
The role includes, among other things:
- developing and further developing internal training as an integrated part of the university's competence supply
- coordinating initiatives and activities within internal training based on overarching goals
- providing pedagogical method support and administrative support to internal teachers, focusing on both classroom and online training
- providing process support in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of training initiatives
- producing and developing digital training
- working with technical support, development, and management of the Competence Portal (LMS)
- monitoring developments in learning, digitalization, and AI
- developing and coordinating networks and forums for experience exchange
- collaborating with different parts of the organization
Qualifications
Requirements for the position are:
- several years of experience in process and method support within internal training
- experience working with digital learning platforms (LMS) and digital tools
- relevant academic education in pedagogy, competence development, or equivalent
- experience in strategic work within competence development
- experience in producing digital training and supporting and developing internal teachers
- good ability to collaborate in complex organizations
- ability to independently plan, drive, and follow up on training initiatives
- good communication skills in speech and writing in Swedish and English
Merits:
- experience in competence development within the public sector or university/higher education
- knowledge of change management related to learning

Other Information
The position is a permanent appointment with a scope of 100 percent, with an start date of October 1, 2026, or as agreed.
First interviews are planned to be held in week 35.
