About Funkaboskolan

Funkaboskolan is located just north of Kalmar city center and is one of the oldest schools in the city. The catchment area extends from Ölandsleden in the south to Krafslösa in the north. To the east, we border Kalmarsund, and to the west, Norra vägen. Funkaboskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with approximately 870 students and 115 staff members.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can teach Spanish and English. The role involves:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching based on current governing documents.
• Creating a clear, secure, and stimulating learning environment where students are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
• Collaborating with colleagues in both subject teams and work groups.
• Actively contributing to the school's quality and development work.
• Serving as a mentor for a group of students and working closely with student health services and guardians.

You will be part of an engaged and competent work team where we help each other, share experiences, and develop teaching together.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Spanish and English in grades 7-9.
• Has good didactic competence and a strong commitment to student learning.
• Is structured, responsible, and has the ability to create clarity in teaching.
• Has a positive attitude and enjoys collaborating with colleagues, students, and guardians.
• Sees digital tools as a natural part of teaching.

Experience of teaching in primary and lower secondary school is meritorious, as is experience of working with formative assessment and differentiated instruction.
