About Fagerslättsskolan

Fagerslättsskolan is a school for grades F-6 with approximately 160 students. The school has two after-school care departments: one for younger students in grades F-1 and one for students from grade 2 and upwards. Fagerslättsskolan is a practice school for Linnaeus University.

We have a positive and constructive atmosphere within the staff group, combining tradition with innovative thinking. The school has extensive experience in welcoming students from many different cultures. The school is centrally located in Nybro with good transport connections by train and bus from Kalmar and Växjö.

Job Responsibilities

As an After School Care Teacher at Fagerslättsskolan, you will be part of a work team. You are expected to have a high degree of cooperation skills and be solution-focused. Your work is characterized by structure, and you view the collaboration between school and after-school care as an opportunity to create a holistic experience for students and guardians.

You are flexible and can quickly adapt based on the student's best interests. You actively contribute to the development of the entire operation, work with low-affective approaches with students who particularly need it, and value a common approach. You build good relationships with guardians to promote collaboration between school and home.

You stay updated on the work towards the operation's common goals and participate in the systematic quality work at the school. You plan, implement, and evaluate the operation based on national goals and guidelines. Your communication with colleagues and school leadership is good, and you can expect good support from your closest colleagues and manager.

Qualifications

You need to have a teacher's degree with eligibility to work in after-school care, and preferably eligibility in art. Personal suitability is a prerequisite for employment. Experience with students with special needs and newly arrived students is a merit.

Furthermore, you have the ability to analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge. You have good self-insight, are confident in yourself and in your pedagogical leadership. We see that you can work independently but have good cooperation skills and can build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
