Torslunda School

Torslunda School is a small F-6 school with approximately 160 students. We are a highly engaged staff group working together to provide all students with a good education in a secure environment. At Torslunda School, we work together to give students the best conditions to develop into curious, social, and democratic individuals. We want to show them paths to find and absorb new knowledge and understand the democratic values upon which our society rests. We work according to the motto "Health and Learning" at Torslunda School. The school has been a certified Generation Pep school since 2021 and is also a practice school where we collaborate with Linnaeus University (LNU).

Job Responsibilities

You will work in one of the two work teams at the after-school center, but naturally, the departments work together in planning and activities. It is important that you enjoy development and see opportunities that develop the operations with the student's best interests in focus. You need to find solutions, work relationally, and sometimes think outside the box. The after-school center is divided into two departments: younger and older children.

You will:

• Plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate activities at the after-school center
• Support in the classroom and sometimes with individual students/smaller student groups
• Plan and conduct teaching in the classroom in the subject you are certified in
• Supervise LNU students as Torslunda School is a practice school
• Be active in the development work of the operation as a whole

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher for the after-school center (fritidshem)
• Preferably have certification in an aesthetic subject such as art/music, but this is not a requirement
• Have a good ability to create relationships and build trust
• Work in a structured and solution-focused manner
• Thrive in a collaborative work team and want to contribute to the development of the after-school center and the school

Salary: Monthly salary.

Duration: Permanent, start: At the beginning of the term in August.
