DUTIES

Färjestaden Secondary School is looking for a teacher with qualifications for grades 4-9, or alternatively other pedagogical staff with education relevant to the position for teaching in a multi-teacher model for integrated students in grade 7. We are looking for a driven and structured teacher/pedagogue who wants to work with teaching, adaptations, development work, and collegial learning, always with the student at the center! It is important that you want to work with teaching and learning in all of the school's subjects.

As a teacher, planning, teaching, grading, and evaluation are included in your duties. You motivate and stimulate students to develop based on their individual prerequisites, work relationally, and fulfill the teacher's assignment based on current governing documents. For teachers at Färjestaden Secondary School, collegial learning and collaboration are in focus. You work together with certified and qualified colleagues in all of the school's subjects and adapt teaching and learning to the target group and the student.

At Färjestaden Secondary School, full-time mentors work, which means that subject teachers do not have mentorship in their position. You, together with the entire work team, special education teachers, and full-time mentors, will be an important person throughout the entire school day for the student group you work with. Your engagement and your ability to be flexible, take initiative, and think innovatively will shape the assignment. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have teacher certification for grades 4-9, or alternatively other pedagogical staff with education relevant to the position, and who have a genuine interest in children and young people, collaboration, and learning.

As a person, you have a very good ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and staff, and you can contribute to a good work climate. Together with your colleagues, you actively work on improvement and development work to drive school development forward.

Färjestaden Secondary School is a new municipal 7-9 school located centrally in Färjestaden. The school's state-of-the-art premises are free of corridors, and the architecture offers flexible learning environments, activities, study areas, and work situations. The classrooms are mainly organized around work team arenas where each work team has its own home base and where teachers and pedagogues work closely with the students. The presence of adults, together with the school's design, stimulates a secure environment where everyone can be met and challenged on their own terms. The school is partially shoe-free and completely mobile-phone-free to contribute to a calm and pleasant environment to be in.
