About the Workplace

Rödsleskolan is located next to the beautiful nature of Döderhultsdalen. The school has approximately 730 students distributed across grades F-3, 4-6, 7-9, and after-school care, as well as approximately 100 staff members. All educators belong to a work team with an associated coordinator.

At Rödsleskolan, dedicated staff work with a positive and inclusive approach, keen on giving students a good school day. Our school has students with different backgrounds and varying needs for support and guidance throughout their school years. Responsibilities

Your mission with us is to lay the foundation for a Good Life for the students you meet. Great emphasis is placed on relationships and a special pedagogical approach.

We are looking for you who want to work as a student assistant and resource for our students. You work closely with one or more students during the school day and are an important support in both teaching and social situations. The assignment involves adapting support based on the student's individual needs in close collaboration with the work team and student health services. Students may have different needs such as neuropsychiatric functional variations, medical needs like diabetes, other functional variations, or needs for special support. You contribute to creating safety, structure, and participation in the student's school day.

The assignment includes:

• supporting students in teaching and during breaks
• contributing to a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• helping with structure, clarity, and routines
• collaborating with teachers and other staff
• handling medical routines according to instructions if necessary, e.g., support regarding diabetes

Qualifications

We see that you, as an applicant, have experience working with students in need of special support, and it is meritorious if you also have experience with children with diabetes. The positions may be combined with work in after-school care.

We are looking for you who:

• have experience working with children and young people
• have knowledge of or experience with NPF (Neuropsychiatric Functional Variations) and low-affective handling
• are confident in working with students in need of special support
• express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
