Ludvigsborgsskolan is a lower secondary school covering grades 7–9, an adapted lower secondary school for grades 7–9, as well as a special teaching group for students within the autism spectrum. The teaching and school work are characterized by participation and influence. We meet students with the expectation that all students can succeed.

We are now looking for a teacher assistant for the adapted lower secondary school grades 7–9 at Ludvigsborgsskolan.

Your Responsibilities

Your role as a teacher assistant is to create structures based on the group's needs to make the school day as predictable, safe, and clear for the students as possible, which contributes to increased peace of mind and study environment.

The teacher assistant acts as a pedagogical support and, together with the teaching teacher, creates good learning situations by finding effective strategies, reinforcing what works for each student, and working preventively.

You work together and in parallel with the teaching teacher and provide work materials that students can work with or use in addition to the lesson materials provided by the teaching teacher. Together with the responsible teacher, you continuously monitor the students' situation, create preventive plans, and handle arising situations. You maintain continuous contact with guardians regarding both the student's situation and development.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education as a teacher assistant or equivalent post-secondary education, with previous experience and/or education in meeting young people in adapted lower secondary school.

We are looking for you who have a strong drive to keep the development of the pedagogical environment alive. Your ability to collaborate is very good, and you are accommodating and clear in your approach to young people, guardians, and colleagues. To fit the position, you should be structured and able to handle stress.

It is important that you have a well-developed pedagogical ability. You have a good understanding of how children and young people acquire knowledge and about different prerequisites for learning.

It is also important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changed circumstances in the operation.

To succeed and thrive with us, you need to have a good ability to collaborate, be receptive, and easily put yourself in other people's perspectives. You need to be confident in yourself, stable, and have good self-insight.
