The Child and Education Administration in Vimmerby Municipality is responsible for all pedagogical operations, from preschool to university, and is also responsible for Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and societal orientation for newly arrived refugees. Our common goal is that Vimmerby Municipality's children and young people should get the best possible conditions to meet the future and develop into creative, curious, and secure individuals.

DUTIES

As a teacher, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of the pedagogical work at your workplace. You are well-versed in the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum for compulsory school and are accustomed to working with current goals and quality standards within the compulsory school's operations. You are a good role model and follow the norms and values set by the curriculum, contributing to carrying out and fulfilling the compulsory school's mission with high quality. Your task is to promote each student's learning and development, as well as to create the best possible conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Astrid Lindgren School is looking for you who is a certified teacher with eligibility to teach Spanish and English in grades 7-9. Together with certified teaching colleagues, we work at the school with heart and competence to meet the differences of all students.

You are well-versed in the compulsory school curriculum, and we would like you to have previous experience in the teaching profession. The position also includes mentorship duties.

You have a good understanding of people's differences and relate to others in an open and listening manner, both in your teaching and in the school's daily life. This approach makes it easy for you to build good and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Furthermore, we see that you are a responsible person who is secure in planning and structuring your own work based on current goals and quality standards within the compulsory school's operations. At the same time, we value innovative thinking in operations and would like you to be a person who brings ideas and new thoughts that you also put into practice to contribute to the development of both daily work and the operations as a whole.
