Smedby School is located just outside Kalmar urban area in Smedby. With good connections by train and bus, you can commute with ease. Smedby School is a comprehensive school (grades F-9). We offer all subjects for primary school on site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of teacher in Swedish, Mathematics, and English for grades 4-6, you will become an important part of a dedicated and competent team. Together, you will drive the pedagogical work forward and develop teaching through systematic quality work. With the students' learning, safety, and well-being at the center, you will jointly be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting the activities.

In your teaching, you focus on stimulating students' logical thinking, problem-solving skills, as well as investigative approaches and technical understanding. You have the main responsibility for creating a structured, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where every individual is given the best possible conditions to succeed and develop.

You also collaborate closely with the school's other teachers and the student health team. As a pedagogue, you play a key role in strengthening students' knowledge development and study skills, as well as in making them active participants in the school's overall work for a safe and equal school environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish, Mathematics, and English for grades 4-6. You have good knowledge of our governing documents and a solid ability to translate them into practical daily life. Through a clarifying pedagogy and a special educational approach, you have both the knowledge and the willingness to adapt your teaching to the unique students you meet.

As a pedagogue, you are clear, responsible, and engaged. Through calm, secure, and conscious leadership, you build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians alike. You meet students with high expectations and have a good ability to motivate and inspire them to take personal responsibility, curiosity, and learning. In the work team, you are a positive force that actively contributes to the school's development work, with a special focus on students' safety and knowledge development.

In accordance with the Act on Suitability Control, a valid extract from the police criminal record must be presented before employment.
