The Centre for European Studies (CFE) at Lund University is a network organization that promotes research, education, and dialogue on Europe's current and future challenges, as well as the continent's shared history. CFE also works to strengthen the university's role in society by supporting researchers who wish to develop new research projects across departmental and faculty boundaries, and by disseminating research-based societal commentary to the surrounding community. Job Description and Responsibilities

You will assist with preparations for various events such as symposia and seminars, and support CFE in the production of various research-based publications. You will also help write and disseminate information about CFE's activities, including via the website and social media. Other tasks may also occur.

Qualification Requirements

To be employed as an amanuens (assistant), you must, according to Chapter 5, Section 10 of the Higher Education Ordinance, be admitted to undergraduate or advanced level studies.

Requirements for employment are:

  • You must have a completed bachelor's degree and be registered as a student at the master's level at one of the following faculties at Lund University: Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Law, Lund School of Economics and Management, or Faculty of Humanities and Theology.
  • Very good writing skills in both Swedish and English.
  • Good ability to perform independent, careful, and systematic work, as well as good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Completed studies in Swedish or journalism at the university level.
  • Experience with the web tool Drupal.
  • Good grades from completed university-level courses.
  • Good knowledge of the European Union as a political, economic, and legal system, e.g., through courses on the European Union being part of your education.

Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the position and the field of knowledge.

Qualifications that are meritorious for the position are:

  • Experience with the blogging tool WordPress.
  • Knowledge of photography or image management.
  • Experience using social media such as LinkedIn and Facebook.

Terms of Employment

The position is a part-time employment with 35% full-time equivalent or as agreed.

The employment is fixed-term, from August 10, 2026, to July 11, 2027, but may be changed by agreement.

The employment includes vacation which is planned in consultation within the employment period.
