Description

We are currently seeking a teacher of Swedish and English for grades 7–9 who wants to contribute to a secure and developmental school day for our students. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a difference by creating engagement in teaching, strengthening student motivation, and being a clear and present adult in their school environment.

Together with colleagues, you work to create good study conditions, security, and prerequisites for each student to develop based on their needs.

The school is a 7–9 school with approximately 450 students divided into three work teams. The school also has a special education group with approximately 10–12 students.

Our goal and driving force is "A sustainable and healthy work environment where relational work is promoted within the school and between school and home", and that "All students should reach their full potential through a focus on language development and, among other things, through extended cross-curricular work".

Responsibilities

In the role of teacher for grades 7–9 in Swedish and English, you are part of two subject teams. You plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching in accordance with current governing documents and adapt it to the students' different prerequisites and needs. Through clear and relational leadership, you contribute to a learning environment where students feel secure, have peace to work, and are motivated to develop.

The assignment includes mentorship for a group of students, where you are a present and supportive adult who follows the students' development, identifies needs, and contributes to a secure and functioning school day.

Qualifications

We place great importance on personal qualities and are looking for you who are a secure and engaged teacher with clear pedagogical leadership. You have good pedagogical insight and the ability to create structure and study conditions in the classroom, while meeting students with sensitivity, clarity, and trust in their abilities.

Relationship-building is a natural part of your way of working, and you build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians through professional and respectful treatment. You can adapt your working methods to the students' different needs and contribute to a secure learning environment where everyone is given the opportunity to develop.

You are flexible, solution-oriented, and thrive in teamwork. In the work team, you actively contribute your perspectives and take responsibility for the whole, while working for a positive and professional work environment.

Furthermore, we see that you have:

• Teacher education with relevant specialization and teacher certification with eligibility to teach Swedish and English in grades 7–9.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, in speech and writing.
• Good digital competence and uses digital tools as a natural part of teaching.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience of teaching in lower secondary school (grades 7–9).
