Åhus Vattenharmoni AB is a private company offering baby swimming and swim school activities in Kristianstad and Furuboda. We work with children from 3 months up to 6 years of age, and approximately 300 children swim with us every week.

You will accompany the child on their journey from beginner to swimming like a fish, above and below the surface. It is a privilege to experience so much joy on every session and to see that the effort we put in yields results! We do our very best to make sure our swimmers look forward to swim school every week!

The teaching is based on experiences and joy in the water as we practice various water adaptation exercises and swimming techniques. From the age of 3, we introduce new themes (such as circus, Astrid Lindgren, pirates, and puzzles) while the core exercises remain the same or similar. This allows children to feel familiar with the routine while still enjoying exciting new experiences each time. The swimming strokes we teach are backstroke, freestyle, lifesaving backstroke, and breaststroke. We adapt exercises and strokes to the child's level. Other activities such as jumping in, turning around, floating, gliding, and diving for toys are also included. Safety in and around water is a priority throughout all courses.

We are located at Kristianstads Badrike. The facilities are fantastic, and we are an integral part of the large and popular swimming center.

The position involves one or two sessions on the weekend, starting in late August. You will work together with a colleague.

You will work as a swimming instructor with children aged 2–6. The child has their parent in the water with them, so you instruct both the child and the parent, both individually and in groups.

We expect you to be engaged, positive, and able to communicate easily with children and parents. You must be clear, attentive, and flexible in your leadership role. Pedagogical education and/or experience working with children is desirable. It is an advantage if you are a certified swimming instructor or have personal swimming training experience.
