Workplace
At the National Economic Crime Bureau (Ekobrottsmyndigheten) in Gothenburg, operations are conducted at two economic crime chambers and one police operational unit. We are now seeking an Investigation Analyst for the First Chamber in Gothenburg.
Job Description
As an Investigation Analyst, you will participate in criminal investigations and work in teams that may include prosecutors, administrators, police officers, and other investigators with specialized competence in areas such as auditing and forensics. Your duties will include, among other things:
- Processing and analyzing extensive amounts of information, primarily obtained electronically from various sources, in criminal investigations
- Structuring information and visualizing it to provide an overview of a criminal setup, a criminal modus operandi, or a sequence of events, or parts thereof
- Drafting analysis memoranda regarding observations and conclusions in criminal investigations and, where applicable, giving testimony in court regarding these observations and conclusions
- Conducting other investigative measures as needed
- Contributing to knowledge dissemination, method development, and improved working practices within the organization
Requirements
We are looking for you who have:
- An academic degree in a field relevant to the operations, or equivalent knowledge and experience acquired in other ways that the employer deems relevant
- Work experience from the last 5 years in structuring, processing, analyzing, and presenting large amounts of information
- Current experience in handling secret coercive measures
- Good computer skills and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good proficiency in English
It is meritorious if you in addition to the above also have:
- Good knowledge and experience in operational analysis
- Good knowledge and experience in criminal investigation
- Knowledge and experience with Analyst’s Notebook
- Knowledge and experience in analyzing BankID information
- Knowledge and experience in programming and database management
- Knowledge and experience in data communication in telecommunication networks and over the internet
- Previous experience working at the National Economic Crime Bureau or experience working with economic crime
