About the role
The Medical Technology (MT) business area is tasked with ensuring that Karolinska University Hospital's healthcare operations have the medical technology equipment required to offer world-class care, today and tomorrow. MT is responsible for the service, maintenance, and management of the hospital's medical technology equipment and actively participates in planning future investments.
We work closely with dialysis operations in Region Stockholm. In the North region, there are dialysis clinics at Danderyd Hospital, Löwenströmska Hospital, Norrtälje Hospital, as well as self- and home dialysis at Njurcentrum Nord. In the South region, operations are located at Karolinska Huddinge, Karolinska Solna, Södersjukhuset, and Rosenlunds Hospital.
For patients who perform dialysis treatments at home, we provide technical support to healthcare staff and patients. Our engineers visit these patients to help with technical support and planned sample collection. Together with healthcare staff and suppliers, we plan the installation and decommissioning of their dialysis equipment, acting as the "hub" in the network.
We train healthcare staff and patients in areas such as dialysis technology and GMP for dialysis. We also play an important role in pharmaceutical manufacturing, where we ensure the technical quality of the equipment used.
We are now looking for two clinical engineers specializing in dialysis. One position is based in the North region with Danderyd as the starting point, and one position is based in the South region with Huddinge as the starting point.
Your main work will be related to equipment used in dialysis treatment, such as dialysis machines, water purifiers, and central systems for supplying RO water and dialysis concentrate.
We are looking for you who
- are a confident person with a good service mindset and problem-solving skills
- have good teamwork and communication skills, as the work involves contact with healthcare staff, patients, suppliers, and other colleagues
- are flexible and have a positive attitude towards changes and transitions, given our constant pursuit of improvement
- can take initiative and have the ability to adapt to urgent matters, as we have a high volume of various cases assigned to the group
- have a good sense of order and the ability to prioritize and complete your tasks and reports, as we document our work via a reporting system called Medusa and often work in parallel with different tasks.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- University degree in medical technology or another technical field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Good knowledge of Swedish and technical English, both spoken and written
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
Merits:
- Work experience in medical technology
- Experience in the fields of dialysis and/or GMP
- Specific education or knowledge in medical technology networks or medical technology systems
