Are you an experienced Data Engineer looking to develop next-generation data and analytics platforms? We are currently seeking a senior consultant for a long-term, strategic assignment with one of our clients in Stockholm.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with modern data platforms in Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and AWS, while contributing to the creation of robust, scalable, and secure solutions for advanced data management and analytics.

Your Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will become a key figure in a platform team responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining the organization's data and analytics platforms. You will work closely with other technical teams, contributing specialist expertise and guidance in data platforms, DataOps, and cloud technology.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain and further develop analytics platforms in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and AWS Data Lake.
• Ensure a robust, secure, and cost-effective platform.
• Establish and improve the platform's core functionality, including workspace structure, lifecycle management, networking, permissions, and capacity management.
• Develop and improve CI/CD processes, release management, and frameworks for DataOps.
• Define and further develop standards for data modeling, data quality, data patterns, and data products.
• Work with information security, data protection, and traceability.
• Establish and improve monitoring, observability, incident management, and cost optimization.
• Manage and analyze complex datasets.
• Provide mentorship and technical support to other developers.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders within the organization.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with:

• At least 5 years of experience developing BI and data analytics solutions at an organizational level.
• At least 3 years of experience administering and maintaining Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse.
• At least 3 years of experience developing data flows, data models, or analytics solutions in Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse.
• At least 2 years of experience developing and maintaining analytics solutions in AWS.
• At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Fabric in a production environment.
• At least 3 years of experience developing in Apache Spark Notebooks.
• At least 2 years of experience in mentorship and technical support for junior developers.
• Proficiency in working with complex data landscapes and cloud-based platforms.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Desirable Experience

Experience with the following is considered a strong advantage:

• Data Lakehouse architecture.
• Migration from AWS Data Lake to Microsoft Fabric.
• Performance optimization, capacity management, and cost optimization in Microsoft Fabric.
• DataOps, test automation, and observability for data flows.
• CI/CD processes and release management for Fabric artifacts.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as Terraform for Azure environments.
• Development of standards and frameworks for modern data platforms.

Location

Stockholm.

The assignment offers a hybrid work model with the possibility of up to 50% remote work, depending on business needs.

Timeline and Scope

Start: 2026-07-05 End: 2027-06-14

Extension Possibility: The assignment can be extended by an additional 1 + 1 + 1 years.

Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
