At Campus AstraZeneca in Södertälje, we meet in innovative and high-tech environments to manufacture medicines that change lives. A daily routine characterized by unwavering team spirit, supportive leadership, and a curiosity that pushes boundaries. Welcome to our world, where half of all line managers are women and where we actively work for a healthier world: from human to planet. If you have drive, there are opportunities: which path will you choose?

Site OSD manufactures oral medicines in the form of granules, pellets, tablets, and capsules, which are then packed and distributed to more than a hundred markets worldwide. We are counted among the world's largest factories for the production of tablets and capsules, with a volume of 12–13 billion units per year. We manufacture several of AstraZeneca's largest products and also serve as the launch unit for new oral formulations.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Production Planner, you are responsible for the operational production planning for your own product range within OSD. You create and maintain an optimized and feasible production plan that ensures we can deliver products on time to the market or further to the next step in manufacturing – with the right balance between service, cost, and inventory levels.

This is a role for you who thrives in a complex and changing production environment, where you get to combine analysis, structure, system understanding, and collaboration to make well-founded decisions. You work closely with production and several other functions, contributing to both daily delivery and the further development of our planning processes, system support, and working methods.

We are looking for someone with strong drive and an interest in how data, digitalization, AI, and smart system support can be used to simplify work, increase efficiency, and enable better decision-making. You enjoy collaborating with others, build good relationships, and contribute to strong cross-functional teamwork.

In this role, you will:

  • Plan and monitor production, track plan adherence, and proactively manage deviations.
  • Ensure capacity data in our planning systems in collaboration with production and capacity managers.
  • Own, quality-assure, and improve master data, as reliable data is a prerequisite for a reliable plan.
  • Work cross-functionally with production, material planning, tactical planning, as well as local and global functions.
  • Identify, drive, and monitor improvements that develop processes, working methods, and planning quality.
  • Contribute to developing and improving digital solutions, system support, and AI usage within planning to create smarter working methods, increased efficiency, and better decision support.
  • Build relationships and create alignment between different functions to find solutions.

We see that you, as a candidate, have:

  • Education: University-level education at the level of a Master's, Bachelor's, or equivalent engineering degree, preferably within logistics, production, industrial economics, technology, supply chain, or similar. Alternatively, you have other relevant education combined with experience assessed as equivalent.
  • System Proficiency: Good experience working with digital tools and systems. You pick up new systems and processes easily.
  • Digital Interest: Interest in digitalization, automation, AI support, and how technology can be used to improve planning, data quality, and working methods.
  • You thrive working in a structured and data-driven manner, and have the ability to use data and information to prioritize correctly, identify areas for improvement, and drive changes.
  • Tool Knowledge: Good knowledge of MS Excel. Experience with SAP, OMP, or other planning systems is advantageous.
  • Languages: Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

What you get with us:

  • An important role in a business that makes a real difference for patients worldwide.
  • The opportunity to influence how we plan and deliver in a complex, high-tech, and socially important production environment.
  • Great opportunities for development through projects, training, improvement initiatives, and learning in everyday life together with an experienced planning team.
  • A strong team culture where collaboration, support, and knowledge sharing are a natural part of the work.
  • Career opportunities within planning, logistics, production, and supply chain – both locally and globally.
  • A workplace with sustainability and inclusion in focus, where we work for long-term results for both people and the planet.
