Job Description

At AFRY Advanced Automation in Stockholm, we continue to grow – and now we want to expand our team! We are specialists in industrial automation and deliver smart, tailor-made solutions to both private and public clients. Here, you will work on technology-intensive assignments that truly make a difference.

Your Role – Where Ideas Become Reality

As an Automation Engineer with us, you will be a central player throughout the entire project journey: from the initial sketch and system idea to final commissioning. You will work closely with our clients and help shape solutions that drive their businesses forward.

Our assignments vary greatly – one day you might make minor programming changes or upgrades, and the next day you could be part of building completely new factories or facilities from scratch. It is this variety that makes the job both challenging and incredibly developmental.

You will primarily work with:

• Programming within DCS, PLC, and SCADA
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving at a high technical level
• Documentation and quality assurance of your solutions
• Technical advisory and client dialogue, where you become the client's closest technical partner

You will work both on-site with our clients and in our own in-house projects – perfect for you who enjoy varying pace, environment, and tasks.

A Project We Are Especially Proud Of

Currently, we are involved in converting one of Stockholm's wastewater treatment plants into one of the world's most modern. The new facility uses advanced membrane technology to increase capacity and meet future environmental requirements.

AFRY is responsible for everything regarding electrical design and automation – and approximately 25 employees from our Stockholm offices work engaged in the project every day.

We have several similar projects underway, which is why we are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer who wants to drive the work forward, located in Solna or Södertälje.

Qualifications

It is important that you enjoy your work, which is why we place great emphasis on your personal qualities. To thrive with us, we believe you are flexible and have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. You also have:

• Relevant education in the field or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in design projects for new process facilities.
• Many years of experience as an Automation Engineer and good knowledge of working with Siemens software, specifically SIMATIC PCS 7 is highly meritorious. Experience with other DCS/PLC/SCADA systems is also relevant and interesting for the position.
• A valid driver's license (Category B) as travel is a natural part of your role from time to time.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
