At the System division, you will work with the most exciting challenges in the power system – from the current operational hour to planning 40 years into the future. The high complexity and development opportunities make our work both stimulating and meaningful. Here, you gain a unique holistic perspective on the power system and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure a secure, sustainable, and efficient electricity supply.
About the role
As a Power System Specialist, you will ensure that Svenska kraftnät maintains a balanced set of requirements for customers connecting to the power system. You will consolidate and evaluate the requirement landscape in relation to network codes such as RfG, HVDC, and DCC. The role also involves communicating and justifying these requirements, as well as leading and driving strategic and operational work forward in Sweden, the Nordic region, and Europe. You will work at the intersection of technology, law, and public benefit, driving development within new regulatory frameworks. A key part of the role is also to take coordinating responsibility towards internal experts.
Here, you will work in a role where you help shape the power systems of the future. You will collaborate closely with industry players and other authorities, contributing to the development of working methods in a rapidly changing environment. You will have the opportunity to drive issues forward, work with new technical solutions, and navigate a landscape of constantly evolving regulations. The role offers significant development opportunities regarding knowledge of the power system and European regulations (network codes), as well as leadership. You will also build a broad network, both internally and externally. The role is largely shaped based on your competence and experience.
You will belong to the Connection Requirements unit, which currently consists of nine employees with a mixed age and gender distribution. The unit's responsibility is to ensure a comprehensive requirement picture of capabilities that must be met by production and consumption facilities, as well as distribution systems, when connecting to the power system or modernizing already connected facilities. The purpose of Svenska kraftnät's requirements is to maintain operational security in the Swedish power system, while being functional, well-justified, and economically efficient. We have a clearly coordinating role, which implies contact points within the department and with other departments at Svenska kraftnät.
