Mips specializes in helmet-based safety and is a world leader in its field. The solution, which is patented on all relevant markets, is sold to the global helmet industry. Mips consists of curious and engaged people who work together to create a safer everyday life for our fellow human beings.
About the role
Mips sells its products to helmet manufacturers who implement Mips technology in helmets that are then marketed and sold to end users. Mips works with several of the largest helmet manufacturers in the world within the sports helmet category, but also sells the company's solutions to brands active in the motorcycle and safety helmet categories. They have recently strengthened their position as market leaders in helmet safety through the acquisition of Koroyd, a leading brand in its niche with 40 employees and operations in Monaco.
Mips currently has its headquarters in Täby, but will move in December 2026 to new, fresh, and larger premises centrally located in Solna, where their testing facility will also be located. A large part of global helmet production takes place in China, which is why Mips has a wholly-owned subsidiary that works close to the customers' factories. In total, Mips has over 100 employees globally working in sales, research and development, production, and administration, of which approximately 85 are at the headquarters in Stockholm.
Mips is constantly growing and is now looking for a curious and driven Technical Engineer to join their implementation team!

- A innovative company working on an international playing field
- Join a young company with great development opportunities within the company
- Developing work with a broad area of responsibility

The customers include some of the largest helmet manufacturers around the world, as well as small startups. You will work together with your colleagues on many ongoing customer projects simultaneously with several different customers. Your role in the team is to be responsible for design and construction, as well as the factual and technical questions in the development of Mips rotation protection in customers' helmets. Your contact areas are both internally within the company with the sales department, project managers, and the rest of the team, as well as the Mips China office and, of course, externally with the customer. Examples of tasks:
- Design and construct Mips products for helmets in CAD (SolidWorks)
- Communication and relationship building with customers as well as internally in the company to drive projects forward
- Testing in the lab and documentation
We are looking for you who
- Have relevant post-secondary education, preferably in product development/design. You can be a recent graduate or have a few years of experience
- Previous experience of working in CAD programs from school or work. If you have worked in SolidWorks, it is seen as an advantage
- Speak and write fluently in English and Swedish
As a person, you are curious, driven, and hungry for knowledge! You like to get things done and enjoy juggling multiple tasks. You enjoy having a social job with contacts around the world while using your technical skills. You are used to taking independent responsibility for your tasks and maintaining engagement despite setbacks. You enjoy a varied daily routine involving both CAD design and building prototypes by hand in our workshop, as well as testing your projects in our test lab. If you, like many in the team, have an interest in cycling, skiing, or similar activities, you will fit right in.
