About the role

As a Process Leader within balancing, you will be responsible for managing, improving, and developing processes for operational work in the control room. In close collaboration with your colleagues at Svenska kraftnät and our counterparts in the Nordic region, you will contribute to the development of the balancing process. You will act as a requirements setter for business projects and IT, and as a coordinator for other functions connected to the control room. The role includes, among other things:

  • Close contact with operators in the national control room and actors in the electricity market
  • Analyses and investigations for the development of tools and processes in the control room
  • Continuous follow-up and reporting of operational processes
  • Updating and creating documentation such as operating instructions, agreements, and training materials
  • Ongoing handling of invoices and incoming emails in functional mailboxes

As a Process Leader in Operations, you have significant opportunities for professional development. You will broaden your competence in power system balancing, market development, and process development while actively influencing your role. You will participate in projects, both Nordic and European.

As a Process Leader at Svenska kraftnät, which is experiencing rapid growth and a changing work environment, you will handle several complex challenges. The work involves responsibility for one or more processes within the main process "Operational assurance of power balance." This means you will coordinate operational work, drive investigations, and ensure progress in development issues. You will navigate the needs of various stakeholders, perform follow-ups and analyses of incidents, and work on issues related to continuity and fallback management.

The unit currently consists of 14 employees who are specialized in different areas while exchanging experiences and working closely together. The unit is responsible for operational processes, which involves work linked to the development of markets, processes, and IT tools for balancing, as well as procurement optimization.

Education:

You have a Master of Science degree or equivalent with a relevant focus, such as energy systems.

You also have:

  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Merits

  • We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career or with a few years of work experience from the energy sector with relevant knowledge of the power system and electricity market functions.
  • Knowledge of balancing markets and the balancing process.
  • Experience from control room work.

  • The position is located in Stockholm/Sundbyberg.
  • Opportunity for remote work up to 50%, if the work allows. #LI-hybrid.
  • Travel may occur up to once a month, primarily within the Nordic region. The position is a permanent employment. A six-month probation period may apply.
