The Department of Molecular Biosciences, Wenner-Gren Institute (MBW) is one of the largest departments at the Faculty of Science at Stockholm University. We have more than 30 research groups and approximately 180 employees. The department conducts experimental basic research in molecular cell biology, integrative biology, as well as infection and immunobiology.

Job Description
This position as Laboratory Technician is available in the laboratory under the leadership of Prof. Martin Jastroch. The main responsibilities include genotyping various zebrafish models and performing fundamental molecular biological methods such as genotyping, tissue processing, RNA and protein isolation, qPCR, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, and zebrafish husbandry.
Qualifications
We are looking for a person with practical and theoretical knowledge in molecular biology (laboratory assistant, Bachelor's or Master's degree). High motivation, the ability to work both independently and in a team, and good English skills are required. FELASA certification and experience with zebrafish work are meritorious.
About the Position
The position is full-time and fixed-term for 6 months. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. The start date is 2026-09-01 or as agreed.
