Naturbruksskolan Svenljunga is located on the outskirts of Svenljunga, close to nature, forests, and fields, yet only 30 km from Borås. Here, the future workforce is trained in two expanding industries – forestry and nature tourism. The school offers the Nature and Natural Resource Programme at the upper secondary level, vocational higher education, and adult education. We are a well-resourced school with approximately 150 upper secondary students, dedicated staff, short decision-making paths, and great opportunities to make an impact. Our goal is to be at the forefront, and we were the first nature school in southern Sweden to be certified as a Technology College.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in relevant subjects such as forestry and forest management, as well as practical lessons on chainsaws and brush cutters across all school forms offered at the school, including responsibility for and maintenance of school equipment.
• You will collaborate with other teachers in the teaching team and at the school.

The role also involves external contacts, such as workplace learning (APL) visits and communication with students' guardians. There are also opportunities to engage in projects and exchanges or participate in various initiatives through our competence centre.

The teaching role offers you the chance to combine professional expertise with pedagogical work. You will play a key role in creating good conditions for students' future lives.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a Forestry Master/Forester or have equivalent education or competence. You will have access to modern technology and are expected to use it in your teaching.

You are, or have the prerequisites to become, a certified vocational teacher for upper secondary school.

You should have a strong interest in teaching young people and want to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to develop based on their abilities. You are pedagogically inclined and can meet students both individually and in groups. You are flexible, goal-oriented, and take initiative. You are skilled at collaborating and have a professional attitude. Since you are part of a team with various subject competencies, we would appreciate it if you could work in an integrated manner to create a holistic experience for the student.

Requirement: B-category driver's license (manual transmission). BE/D/E licenses are meritorious.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

Permanent position at 100% with start date August 2026. Holiday position. To be employed at the school, a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) is required, which you can apply for at polisen.se.
