Önneredsskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) located in western Gothenburg in a beautiful natural area with easy access to forests and the sea. Our proximity to nature allows us to offer students various environments for enhanced learning.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a teacher to instruct in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (No) for grades 7-9.

As a teacher at Önneredsskolan, you are passionate about teaching and guiding students towards set goals according to current curricula and syllabi. Your teaching is structured, and you follow up on and analyze your teaching methods and student results. In your role, you are responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

Here, the Mathematics and Natural Sciences teachers collaborate closely to support each other in planning instruction and assessment to ensure equity. Working together brings security and makes the job more enjoyable!

The role also includes being a mentor. Önneredsskolan grades 7-9 has six parallel classes in each grade. There are two mentors per class, and in our role as mentors, we work together to create the best conditions for students to thrive, develop, and feel secure. The staff in each grade is divided into workgroups that meet once a week. Resource personnel and a representative from the school's student health team also attend these meetings.

Qualifications

You who apply for the position are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 7-9. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents. You have good knowledge of and a preference for working with digital learning materials in teaching.

As a person, you are receptive and have good collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and parents. You are creative, flexible, and capable of taking initiative.
