Educator with Experience in Special Support Needed at Aspen Montessori
Aspen MontessoriVästra Götalands län, Lerum
Previous experience is desired
Aspen Montessori is an independent primary school offering education for students from preschool class to grade 5. The school has approximately 120 students and offers a safe, stimulating, and developmental learning environment where every child is given the opportunity to grow based on their individual prerequisites.
The school and after-school center are located in a charming old school building characterized by generous ceiling heights, bright spaces, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The nature-rich surroundings form an important part of the operations, creating unique opportunities for learning, play, and movement. With meadows, forest areas, and a stream directly connected to the school, there are excellent conditions for running a varied and inspiring after-school program and integrating nature as a natural part of the students' daily lives.
Our vision is to create the best possible conditions every day so that every student can develop and reach their full potential based on their own strengths, interests, and abilities. Through dedicated pedagogical work, we aim to contribute to shaping tomorrow's citizens – individuals who are confident in themselves, take responsibility for their surroundings, and have a lifelong desire to learn.
We are now looking for an engaged and competent employee with experience working with children in need of special support. To succeed in this role, we see that you are a secure, stable, and trustworthy person who easily builds good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have a professional demeanor, great patience, and a good ability to meet each student based on their individual needs.
We particularly value that you are proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of handling challenging situations in a calm and constructive manner. The assignment involves working closely with a single student for large parts of the school day in what is called one-to-one support, while simultaneously being part of close collaboration with the class's other educators and student health services. The position is located in a lower primary school class, where you will become an important part of the work to create security, participation, and good conditions for the student's academic and social development.
The position is 60% and distributed over four mornings.
