Do you want to contribute to a safe, creative, and meaningful everyday life for our students?

We are now looking for a Leisure-time Pedagogue/Primary School Teacher with a focus on Leisure-time Centers, or Preschool Teacher, for a fixed-term appointment during the period 3 August 2026 – 8 January 2027. The position is a parental leave substitute in our adapted primary school and leisure-time center.

Responsibilities

In the role of Leisure-time Pedagogue or Primary School Teacher in the leisure-time center, you, together with colleagues, create an stimulating, safe, and positive learning environment where the students' knowledge development, social interaction, and personal development are at the center.

The assignment combines work in the leisure-time center with classroom work, where you collaborate closely with special education teachers, student assistants, and other professionals. You contribute to the operation's quality and development work and participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the leisure-time center's activities based on the curriculum and governing documents.

In the assignment:

• you are involved in the design of the pedagogical activities
• you actively contribute to collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues
• you work to create a safe, accessible, and developmental learning environment
• you support the students' development, independence, and participation

You view the pedagogical environment as changeable and use it as a support for the students' creativity, play, and learning. You are solution-focused, take responsibility, and wish to contribute together with us to the students' development and goal achievement.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a Primary School Teacher with a focus on Leisure-time Centers, a Preschool Teacher, or have other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and other functional variations. You also have good organizational skills and work in a structured manner to ensure high quality in the operation. Furthermore, we want you to:

• be secure in your professional role and well-acquainted with the governing documents for leisure-time centers
• have good communication skills and create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• have a professional approach and the ability to meet students with intellectual disabilities and other functional variations, as well as their guardians, in a respectful and safe manner

It is meritorious if you have experience working with visual supports and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), as well as having a driver's license.
