Job Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher at Skolfam, you work in a team for each child together with a psychologist, the child's social secretary, and the responsible foster care secretary. Together with a psychologist colleague, you will conduct assessments and analyses of the child's cognitive and academic abilities as well as mental health. The assessment from these mappings is used as a basis for identifying the child's strengths and any potential support needs. The child's development is followed up during continuous meetings throughout their primary and secondary school years, involving the Skolfam team, the school, and the foster home. You will be responsible for coordinating, leading, documenting, and planning related to investigations and follow-up meetings.

Follow-up meetings take place primarily digitally. Therefore, you need to be confident using video calls as a tool and see opportunities for building relationships in this meeting format.

You will also have physical meetings both within and outside the municipality. The work may occasionally involve travel outside office hours and overnight stays. For car travel, we use the city's vehicles.
