About the job

We are looking for a special needs teacher (speciallärare) to work in primary and lower secondary school (grundskola) at a lower secondary school (högstadieskola).

As a special needs teacher, you will work closely with the teachers and the student health team at the school. Students who need special support need you and your teaching.

Responsibilities

Your main task is to challenge students in their learning together with colleagues and support the student in their knowledge development towards set goals. You will have a special responsibility to ensure that students with a need for special support have access to it. You coordinate action plans that teachers, special educators, and you have drawn up together.

You will teach individual students and students in smaller groups.

Who are you?

You are a certified special needs teacher/teacher with the qualification to teach in primary and lower secondary school in Swedish, English, or Mathematics. Great emphasis is placed on your ability to create good, trust-based relationships with students and guardians. You are flexible and enjoy working together with other professions.

We are looking for someone who is well acquainted with the subjects' aims, skills, and knowledge requirements and is well versed in the school's view of knowledge and value-based mission. You have good knowledge and competence in digital and formative learning processes.

You have the ability to motivate and create learning and learning environments characterized by inclusion, variation, and interactivity. You have the ability to see and meet each student and build on what works.

Great consideration is given to personal suitability.

Other

Permanent position, 100%, starting in August 2026 or as agreed.

Other working time regulations than standard Appendix M may become relevant for the position.

Before an employment offer is made, you as a candidate are required to present an extract from the criminal record register for work in any of the following areas: school or preschool, work with children in activities other than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with residential homes for youth care (HVB-hem), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
