About the job

We are looking for a special needs teacher who will work within the compulsory school system at a secondary school (grades 7-9).

As a special needs teacher, you will work closely with the teachers and the student health team at the school. Students who need special support need you and your teaching.

Responsibilities

Your main task is to challenge students in their learning together with colleagues and support the student in their knowledge development towards set goals. You will have a special responsibility to ensure that students with a need for special support have access to it. You will coordinate action plans that have been established together with teachers and special educators.

You will teach individual students and students in smaller groups.

Who are you?

You are a certified special needs teacher or teacher with the qualification to teach in compulsory school in Swedish, English, or Mathematics. Great emphasis is placed on your ability to create good, trusting relationships with students and guardians. You are flexible and enjoy working together with other professions.

We are looking for someone who is well familiar with the subject's purpose, skills, and knowledge requirements and is well versed in the school's view of knowledge and value-based mission. You have good knowledge and competence in digital and formative learning processes.

You have the ability to motivate and create learning and teaching environments characterized by inclusion, variation, and interactivity. You have the ability to see and meet each student and build on what works.

Personal suitability is given great importance.

Other

Permanent position, 100%, starting in August 2026 or as agreed.

Other working time regulations than the standard Appendix M may become relevant for the position.

Criminal Record Extract

Before being offered employment, you as a candidate are required to present an extract from the criminal record register for work in any of the following areas: school or preschool, work with children in activities other than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with residential homes for youth (HVB), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
