Job Description
Ljungvik School is now looking for you - a reliable resource for students with diabetes, specifically for our youngest students in grades F-3. Here, you will be part of a competent and warm collegium working together to create the best conditions for our students.
As an assistant with responsibilities throughout the student's day (both at school and in the after-school center), you work together with other professionals in the work team to ensure care, security, teaching, healthcare needs, and supervision.
You work both with individual students based on their needs, smaller groups of students, and in regular student groups/classes.
You, together with the work team, are an important part of promoting and preventing student health issues and collaborate closely with colleagues, guardians, school leadership, and the school's student health team.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have good knowledge of diabetes, and it is an advantage if you have pedagogical knowledge/insight and understanding of the school's and after-school center's mission. Great importance is placed on personal suitability based on the needs of the operations.
You who apply have:
- Competence and experience in meeting and working with children/students in need of medical support/care (diabetes) as well as NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).
- Knowledge of diabetes.
- Good judgment and a professional approach.
- Experience working as an assistant in school and/or after-school centers.
- Good teamwork skills and a desire to work and develop together in a work team.
- The ability to create and maintain good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
- Good ability to understand and follow instructions, as well as to anticipate situations that may arise during the day.
- Ability to contribute new ideas and perspectives, and enjoy having fun at work.
- You use a respectful approach and professional communication.
- You are reliable and clearly responsible.
- You are solution-focused and see opportunities.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-10, End date: 2026-12-31.
Working hours: Daytime.
